Great woods was a a great state. So rich and pretty. It was taking over the bad lands of the evil sorcerer ThunderBlack.
It is hard to say but he was the great and most powerful sorcerer who ever lived. He wanted his land to take over the
great woods like it had done before. He made a book so horrible that if any one read it everything they had everything
they loved will be what he wished for. 100 years past and the sorcerer died. A little boy found the book and read it.
This boy loved The Great Woods. And as the story for told it was under the black sorcerer's power. To people named
Amy and Max try to save great woods. There first stop is Golden Lake.
''We're here'' said Amy. Amy and Max got of there horses. There were no people there. ''Lets look''. said Max.
They spread out. But where ever they looked they could see no people. ''No people''. said Max.
''Yes there is''. said a soft strange voice from up. A strange pretty face was in the leaves of a birch tree.
Then all the sudden it's lips started to move! ''I'm sorry if I scared you. I am Emerald. The tree nymph.''
It took a while to talk to the tree nymph. Then a weird thing happened. All of the leaves fell in a pattern that made a
pretty face. When they fell to the ground they made a pile. A pretty lady who looked like the face in the trees
was walking out of the pile of leaves. She said,''Maybe it's better to talk to me like this.'' ''yup.''said Max.
''What are you looking for'' Emerald ask. Amy said ''We are looking for people here''. The tree nymph chuckled. ''Look at the leaves on the ground. It was hard to hold a leave here for some reason.
Finally we got a grip of a leave. We looked at the leave. It seemed that when you looked at it's lines it formed a face. ''What the heck. Why here does everything form a face''. Max said. the tree nymph said''Those are the people who live here''. The wind blowed. The leaves flowed in the breeze.
Emerald said,''That's is when the people find a safe place to sleep for the night. the dark side hates wind''.
Dawn was approaching. The two went to get their sleeping bags. but to their surprise it was not there. Not even the horses! Where was everything! ''Where is our stuff''.said Max. Emerald said,''I threw your bags away and made your horses into better horses'' ''You throwed our bags away!'' said Max. ''Now hush up child we have a bed for you''. said Emerald.
She led them to a room. Inside there was there horses! Well there was something different about them. Their fur was brushed, one of them was silver and one of them was golden, they ran much faster,and had flowers on them. Emerald said'' these horses will be in handy on your adventures. Now come in and rest''. Their bed was made out of moss. when they got into bed to their surprise the moss was nice. They had good dreams that night. Emerald woke them up. They had acorn pancakes (that to them was better than real pancakes!)'' Your first adventure is to find the three stones. If you find them then one place in Golden Lake will light up and be pretty again. Here is a map. It will lead you to them. But you will find things unexpected''.
They went to find them. ''It says the first thing we have to go to is the rock cliff. Go north.''So that's where they went. After they found it all the rock's were pretty.
''It's this one''said Max. Amy said''That sure looks pretty but remember Emerald said weird things that we had never thought and also something is protecting it.'' they kept looking for the one rock until sun down and had still had not found the rock. Well until Amy said,''I think it's this one Max''!
Max hurried over. Amy was pointing to a rock that was not pretty. It was weird. What was protecting it was scorpion. ''I guess so. Lets get it right now because I am tired!'' said Max. Though he did not know that scorpion hurt so much and if you get bit by one it will sting (well these ones) .
''No Max''! Cried Amy but it was to late
''OW OW MY HANDS BURN''! Cried Max.
Amy tried to defeat and kill the scorpions but at the same time she tried to help to help Max and his burning hands. She got her water bottle and splashed water on his hands
it got a little better but it still hurt. Right then she saw an alo vera kind of plant. Amy remembered Mr. Hooten her science teacher said that if you open the alo vera the inside of the plant makes burns, itchy places, and places
where you got a scab on feel better and get well in a few days. She used it and it worked! All the sudden the tears in Maxes eye were all gone! '' Alo vera is going to be in my journal ''. Max said. Amy smiled but her eyes frowned.
She said ''You are going to promise me one thing. First of all do not touch anything if you do not know what it is and you are going to have to share your water with me.''.
They made the promise and for the rest of the day they were smashing fire ants with there feet and if anything got in there shoe (Which was always ants) they would use Alo vera to heel it. Finally the ants were all dead. They got into there sleeping bags and slept. They next morning the two woke up early. They wanted to get the next rock
soon and get it over with this adventure. This was a hard adventure. Though they did not see two cliffs in there way.
"So how are we supposed to get to the other cliff.'' said Max.
Amy turned. She saw a bridge.''This way Max'' said Amy, pulling him to the bridge. Though when Max saw it he shook his head.'
'No there has to be another way. That bridge in the middle has a hole.'' Max said. Amy rolled her eyes and said,''We jumped over a car once.
That hole is as big as a toaster!'' She started to run and she was running on the bridge! Max could not see her in the mist. ''Amy!''said Max but there was no voice of Amy's. He waited a long time until Amy said,''Come on Max!'' Max felt the energy in his self. He ran and jumped over the hole in the crooked bridge.
When it was thee end they looked. Just then they did a deep gulp. When they looked hard at the Mist there they saw another crooked bridge! This time with NO bridge.
Amy and Max went slowly to the cliffs. When they got there the rock started to crack! ''HELP HELP''the two cried but no one came to the rescue. They were about to loose there lives when all the sudden the two saw a ledge. It was safe to climb!
Unfortunately they would loose there horses but they had to keep there bodies a live. They climbed up the ledge and it hurt so much to see there horses fall and die. They got to the top of the cliff. There was a stone in both of there bodies. A mad, happy,and sad feeling in there head. They hugged each other and tried to fight the tears like they had to when there parents died. There hands shook in terror. They took a nap to see if there dreams can be loving and happy and have the sunshine in them but ache was to strong and took over the sun shine in them.
When they woke up they tried to fine a way to get across to the other cliff. Of corse this was many times harder then the other two cliffs. For there was no bridge like we said when they just saw the cliffs.
Then all the sudden Amy and Max saw a rope. They swung the rope to test it. It was a great rope. After that they next rock was there. They found a cave to sleep in to night. They had a rough day that day so as soon as they came in the cave they went straight to bed. Mean while back where Emerald was tear drops fled from her eyes. ''Why why did I do this'' she said and was so mad at her self .''Why didn't I go with them'' she said. Amy and Max woke up. It was damp that morning. They went to find the next stone. For many miles the two walked. Until . . .
''Look Max'' said Amy. There in front of them was a temple. It was a very old temple of a sorcerer. When they found it was ThunderBlack's temple! They went inside and they saw the last stone that they had been working for all this time.
So they tried to walk toward it. Though when they took the first step Skeletons came to life! They could not be killed . Well not all of them. They new that because it was two trying to kill millions! '' What are we going to do Amy!'' said Max.
Amy thought. She tried to think what Emerald said. Then she remembered her saying. ''Dark magic hates wind.'' That was it.
That was what all they needed.''Wind Max'' she said. Max thought. Then nodded his head yes. They flew open the doors.
Wind hurried in. The skeletons all turned into dust. They ran and got the stone and ran to Emerald.When they were there they hugged Emerald and Emerald hugged them. Golden Lake did light up. It was beautiful. The people were people again. When they had to go on there next adventure the people of golden Lake gave them gifts. For Amy a necklace
with a compass on it. And for Max a bow that is the can shoot the farthest in Golden Lake. And a bag of wind. Emerald went on the next adventure with them. I guess they went together.
